Temple Youth Celebration

A BEACON TO THE WORLD!

...are you ready?

On May 2nd, 2010 the Vancouver Temple will be dedicated by the prophet of the Lord! In celebration of this great event, youth from around the province and Bellingham have been asked to perform a cultural event that tells the secular and spiritual history of this area. The script has been written, the music composed, the dances choreographed, and the costumes sewn. We now invite all youth in the Vancouver Temple District to come and join us in performing "A Beacon to the World".

String Figures:
You just need a string or a piece of yarn for this one. See if you can make "Jacob's Ladder", "Kitty Whiskers", "Cup and Saucer", or play Cats Cradle! Here's a list of websites that have instructions and illustrations of all the old favorite string figures.

Playing Cards :
Teach your kids to play "Old Maid" or "Go Fish" or Crazy 8s. Click here to Print the Rules for just about every card game you can think of, and bring them with you to learn some new games.

Please remember to memorize your lyrics and
don't forget to bring your smile!
