Choir Instructions:
1. These MP3's are NOT the orchestration you will here for the show. They are simply the melodies of each song. Orchestration is still being recorded. Most of it is finished but still needs to be mixed and mastered. As the songs become more fully orchestrated it will be more difficult for you to find your parts. Use the single line melodies to practice to make sure you are getting all the right notes.
2. If a song begins immediately without an intro I inserted a sleigh bell with a pickup to help you know when to start when you are sitting at home practicing for hours and hours.
3. If you here crackling on the mp3's, it is not your computer, I have a grumpy mic chord that would like to be put into retirement.
4. When there are breaks in the music, that is not because I haven't written anything yet, that is most likely when there will be narration or dramatic interludes, just be patient until the music starts again.
5. When you get your pdf's (sheet music) from your email, print them out and put them all in a duatang or binder to keep them all together - it will be a lot of sheet music to organize.
6. If you find you have signed up to be a soprano and you can't reach the notes in one of the songs, NO PROBLEM!!! Don't fake it, just learn the alto part. I expect many of you will be doing that for the final verse of JOSEPH, it gets very high.
7. Sometimes you will see a choice of 3 notes in the soprano/alto part, your music liaison will help you decide which parts to sing if you are confused by that.
